My work explores the human body as a place of perception.
I am particularly interested in the skin, not only as a boundary, but as a surface of continuous exchange. It separates and connects at the same time, shaping how we relate to the world and to ourselves.
Through oil painting, I create emotional landscapes that emerge from sensing rather than seeing. I work with layered surfaces, blending and dissolving forms into one another, suggesting a body that is not fixed but always in relation to its surroundings.
A recurring point of reference in my work is the octopus. It perceives and feels the world through its entire body, through each arm, each sucker, through touch. This way of sensing suggests a different kind of awareness, one that is physical, immediate, and shaped through contact.
In my recent work, this interest extends toward questions of loss and longing. Learning about the octopus has led me to think about touch as proof of presence.
The memory of touch can remain, lingering on the skin and leaving traces that persist.
My work moves between inside and outside, self and world, exploring how perception is shaped through contact, and how closeness can remain even in its loss.
